Maximum possible memory configuration (with 2 CPUs, each with 4 slots):

• RDIMM 2Rank: 128GB RAM (2 x 4 x 16GB RDIMM)
• LRDIMM: 256GB RAM (2 x 4 x 32GB LRDIMM)

ECC DIMM, Registered DIMM, and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or completely upgrade to RDIMM memory.

Guidelines for memory configuration:

• ECC DIMM, Registered DIMM, and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed.
• Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated.
• Memory configuration for good system performance: Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs.
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be configured identically (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
