The DA 40 mm / 2.8 XS was specifically developed for the PENTAX K-01 by industrial designer Marc Newson. It matches the technical specifications of the DA 40 mm / 2.8 but is even smaller in dimensions. At 9.2 mm, it is the world's slimmest lens. Optimized for use with digital cameras; a standard lens for universal applications; equivalent to approximately 60 mm in 35 mm format; particularly flat lens; rounded diaphragm blades for a smooth, natural background blur (bokeh effect); SP coating for the front lens.
