The complex optical construction consists of 7 lenses in 5 groups, including 2 aspherical elements. They ensure minimal distortion and colour errors as well as a uniformly high sharpness down to the corners of the image, and their characteristic features make the 1.7/20mm lens extremely versatile. The 20mm focal length corresponds to 40mm in KB format and with its light wide-angle character is suitable for street photography, landscape and indoor photography.
The high luminous intensity of F1.7 expands the range of applications under low light conditions and the possibilities of creative handling of the depth of field.
The LUMIX G 1.7/ 20mm II Asph. has a high-quality metallic surface and a metal bayonet connection.
