The PowerSet consists of 4 batteries and a charger, as well as a box for storing 1-4 AA LR6 HR-3 batteries. The name eneloop remains, but the new eneloop prominently features the Panasonic brand name instead of Sanyo. The new eneloop has improved in terms of cycle count, now offering up to 2100 recharges. The key advantage of Panasonic eneloop batteries is their low self-discharge rate. Charged today, the eneloop retains up to 70% of its capacity even after 5 years. Gone are the days of constantly empty AA batteries.

Panasonic eneloop 3rd generation
The first version of the Sanyo eneloop, the HR-3UTG, was introduced in November 2005. The 2nd generation HR-3UTGA followed in May 2010, and in November 2011, the 3rd generation HR-3UTGB was released. The new Panasonic eneloop BK-3MCC now represents the 4th generation of eneloop batteries. The new eneloop can be recognized by the large blue Panasonic lettering that spans almost the entire length of the cell. The eneloop lettering is now noticeably smaller than in previous versions.
