Product details
High-speed lens Leica DG Summilux:
The compact and bright Leica lens features an aperture ring and high-speed autofocus. The Leica DG Summilux 15 mm / F1.7 ASPH. allows you to capture stunning snapshots with beautiful blur effects thanks to its high speed. As a globally renowned brand, Leica guarantees exceptional image quality. The new lens system consists of 9 elements in 7 groups and employs 3 aspherical lenses. The aspherical lenses suppress spherical aberration and distortion while enabling a more compact design.
The Leica DG Summilux 15 mm / F1.7 ASPH. is equipped with an aperture ring and an AF/MF switch for direct, intuitive control. With its high-quality metal body, robust and durable metal bayonet, and lens hood, it lives up to the Leica name. Leica certifies and guarantees excellent image quality while maintaining a compact and lightweight design.
A newly developed stepping motor focuses smoothly and quietly for both photo and video recordings. Especially at large apertures with shallow depth of field, the AF system outperforms traditional phase-difference AF systems. When used with LUMIX G cameras, you can fully utilize the highly precise, lightning-fast contrast AF system.
Panasonic's Nano coating technology minimizes reflections across the entire visible light spectrum of 380 - 780 nm through a nano-structured coating layer on the lens surface. This enables high-contrast images with significantly fewer ghost images and light reflections.
