Product details

A modern MM system from Ortofon: easy installation, very versatile for use with all good medium-weight tonearms.

The sound is exemplarily neutral, but by no means sterile. On the contrary: this cartridge delivers enjoyment, playing beautifully dynamically and engagingly with surprisingly good spatial representation. The tracking behavior is very good. The cartridge works well with all known tonearms that are not too lightweight.

The system is mounted from above with two screws (standard half-inch mounting), and the housing has threaded holes.

Solo gekauft ist das 2M Red nicht das günstigste MM-System mit elliptischer Nadel. Es besitzt aber auch deutlich mehr Klangpotential, als man ihm üblicherweise zutraut. Auch in hochwertigen Spielern ist es somit nicht fehl am Platze - zumal sich durch die höherwertigen 2M-Nadeln attraktive Upgrade-Möglichkeiten ergeben...
