Omron NX standalone safety control unit. The NX series safety control units offer a simple and flexible design for motion control and safety control at high speed and high precision in an integrated development environment, when used in conjunction with the NJ series machine controller and SYSMAC Studio automation software. This feature helps increase productivity and ensure safety as required by international standards and regulations. By connecting the NX series EtherCAT coupler, it is possible to apply integrated safety in machine automation. The safety CPU unit controls up to 128 safety I/O units. Four or eight points per safety input unit; the four-point safety input unit can be directly connected to non-contact switches and to single beam sensors. Two or four points per safety output unit; the two-point safety output unit features a high breaking current of 2.0 A at the output. Safety units can be freely assigned in any combination with standard NX series I/O. Complies with IEC 61131-3 standard. Safety programs can be standardized and efficiently reused by using program organization units (POU) for design and operation. Certified to EN ISO 13849-1 (PLe/Safety Category 4) and IEC 61508 (SIL3). A connector that uses the Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) protocol allows flexible configuration by mixing safety units with standard NX series I/O. Hardware and safety circuits can be configured using SYSMAC Studio (version 1.07).
