The APA102 LED strip is an innovative solution for personalized lighting and creative projects. Each LED in this strip is equipped with a microprocessor that allows for precise control using just two I/O pins. This enables independent control of each LED and adjustment to a wide range of RGB colors, resulting in an impressive palette of up to 16 million colors. The high PWM frequency of the DotStar LEDs makes them particularly suitable for applications like persistence of vision (POV), as they operate flicker-free. Control is done via SPI, allowing for easy integration with various microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The strip is one meter long and contains 60 LEDs mounted on a flexible PCB, covered with a waterproof coating. It can be cut at any LED as needed, providing high flexibility for installation.
