Nintendo Switch combines the mobility of a portable system with the power of a TV console, opening up unprecedented gaming experiences. In the living room, the new console is placed in the Nintendo Switch Station, which connects the device to the TV - perfect for cosy gaming with family and friends from the sofa. If you take the Nintendo Switch out of the station, the console immediately switches to handheld mode. This allows Nintendo fans to enjoy the same gaming fun on the go. The bright HD screen integrated into the console ensures an optimal gaming experience, just like on the TV - even in the park, on the train, in the car or at another Nintendo friend's house. And because sharing the fun is twice the fun, the Joy-Con controllers, which are attached to both sides of the console, can be detached from the Nintendo Switch. This enables a wide variety of game combinations: one player with one Joy-Con controller in each hand, two players with one each or many players with several Joy-Con controllers. As easy as they are to remove, the controllers are just as easy to reattach, whether to the console or to the Joy-Con holder, which resembles a traditional controller. If you prefer, you can also use the optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in addition to the Joy-Con controllers. As if that wasn't enough, players can connect multiple Nintendo Switch consoles locally. This also enhances the captivating multiplayer action. Nintendo Switch also offers various in-built functions that make gaming more interactive. For example, the left Joy-Con has a record button that players can use to take screenshots and share them on social networks. The right Joy-Con in turn has an NFC contact point to use amiibo, as well as an infrared motion camera that can recognise the distance, shape and movement of nearby objects in specially developed games.
