- The compact and affordable wide-angle lens is powerful. The high resolution over almost the entire aperture range makes this clear.
- It would have been nice if Nikon had also given the new lens a robust metal bayonet. The weight of the Nikkor would have increased only marginally.
Nikon proves with the new Nikkor 28 mm f/2.8 that top performance is also available at an affordable price. The wide-angle lens is an excellent complement to the previously available standard focal length of 40 millimetres and is equally suitable for photographers and filmmakers.
