The NETGEAR AV Line M4250-10G2XF-PoE is an 8x1G PoE 240W 2x1G and 2xSFP Managed Switch (GSM4212PX). It features 10 RJ45 ports and 2 SFP ports. The switch offers 8 PoE ports with the 802.3af/at standard (up to 30 watts per port) and a PoE budget of 240 watts. It is designed for mounting in a 19-inch rack.

The device has 8 10/100/1000BASE-T (RJ45) PoE ports with a 240-watt PoE budget, 2 10/100/1000BASE-T (RJ45) ports, and 2 1000/10GBASE-X (SFP) ports. The black front panel and all connections are located on the back, with an option for reverse mounting with connections on the front. There is a threaded hole on the front (1x M10) for clamps, as well as threaded holes on the bottom (4x M5) for 50x100 mm VESA plates. Selectable fan modes are available for fanless, quiet, or cool operation.

The M4250 supports Audio-Video Bridging (AVB), an industry standard for transporting content over a network with very low latency, such as during live performances where lip synchronization is critical. All switches in the AV Line M4250 can be optionally licensed for AVB support.

With Power over Ethernet (PoE), compatible devices can be powered through the network cable, reducing cabling effort and allowing for high flexibility in device placement. The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 watts of power per PoE port at a voltage of up to 50 volts. After line losses, 21.90 watts of usable power remain to avoid exceeding the maximum power output. A Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 meters is recommended for PoE.
