Just like its larger keyboard siblings, the Nektar P4 and P6, the compact and lightweight Panorama P1 offers the same direct and incredibly deep integration with any popular DAW, whether it's Cubase, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Bitwig Studio, Studio One, Reason, or MainStage. In Transport Mode, all transport functions of the respective DAW are covered. In Mixer Mode, you gain direct access to all mixer functions, including EQs and control of effect plug-ins, and in Instrument Mode, you can directly influence active instruments. All parameters of common VST instruments are already sensibly pre-mapped by Nektar, eliminating the need for plug-in wrapping and endless parameter pages. This allows for switching patches and controlling envelopes via the channel faders, among other things. Assignments like filter cutoff are always located on the same encoders for all instruments but can be individually reassigned if needed. Since many parameters in the software are only accessible after opening separate windows, direct access via the Panorama controller is an invaluable advantage that enables software operation akin to that of a hardware instrument. With a multitude of controls, 60 assignable controllers are available at any time. A high-resolution 3.5″ color display provides an overview of all important information.
