Große Schwächen leistet sich der Multisync PA242W nicht, wobei man jedoch bei der Ausstattung von einem 800 Euro teuren Modell etwas mehr erwarten kann. Dies gleicht er jedoch mit einem sehr guten Bild aus, wobei er vor allem mit sehr starker Ergonomie und geringen Verbrauchswerten überzeugen kann.

Der NEC MultiSync PA242W zeigt zwar nur Full-HD-Auflösung auf 24 Zoll, aber die Bildqualität des AH-IPS-Panels ist im Test exzellent. Ein dreh- und höhenverstellbarer Standfuß und eine praktische Pivot-Funktion sorgen zusätzlich für den Bestwert im Bereich Ergonomie. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist angenehm niedrig, der Preis für einen TFT dieser Größe aber sehr hoch.
