Mutec MC1.2+

The bidirectional DDC from MUTEC combines extensive capabilities for digital audio format conversion with sound-optimizing features via the USB port. As a versatile format converter, the MC1.2+ converts typical PCM audio signals through the interfaces USB, AES/EBU, AES/EBU id, and S/PDIF. This process can also occur simultaneously in both directions (In/Out) over USB. This flexibility is extremely useful, for example, in a professional studio environment. There, the compact MC1.2+ enables versatile and lossless real-time signal transmission between audio interfaces, digital mixing consoles, and effects devices. Furthermore, this digital-to-digital format converter from MUTEC enhances the USB audio stream through signal regeneration and isolation of the USB voltage, using low-noise audio clock oscillators. As a result, disturbances that would normally be induced into the device circuitry via the USB interface's voltage supply can no longer negatively affect the digital signal processing of the MC1.2+. This leads to a significant reduction in digital noise and jitter.
