Mobotix MxIRLight

In complete or very strong darkness under approximately 3 to 5 Lux (for comparison: street lighting provides about 10 Lux), it is worthwhile—especially for applications that utilize high image resolution and intelligent analysis functions such as MxActivitySensor or external license plate recognition—to use the new, cost-effective, and long-lasting MxIRLight infrared illuminators with energy-saving LED technology (max. 19 W, PoE+ standard). Unlike conventional white light illuminators, the light from the MxIRLight illuminators is generated in an infrared wavelength range of 860 nm, which is excellently captured by a MOBOTIX camera with a black-and-white image sensor, but can only be perceived by the human eye as a red glow at the illuminator itself. Note: The combination of color sensor and MxIRLight does not cause any image alteration, as this sensor is equipped with an IR cut filter for maximum image quality during the day.
