In case of complete or very strong darkness below approx. 3 to 5 lux (for comparison: street lighting delivers approx. 10 lux), it is worthwhile - especially in applications with high image resolution and intelligent analysis functions such as MxActivitySensor or external number plate recognition - to use the new, cost-effective and durable MxIRLight infrared emitter with energy-saving LED technology (max 19 W, PoE + standard). In contrast to conventional white light emitters, the light of the MxIRLight emitters is produced in an infrared wavelength range of 860 nm, which can be perceived excellently by a MOBOTIX camera with a black and white image sensor, but only by the human eye as a red glow on the emitter itself. Note: The Color Sensor and MxIRLight combination will not alter the image as this sensor is equipped with an IR cut filter for maximum image quality during the day.
