Product details

Hydra motor capacitors with overpressure cut-off MKP-Si technology series 500. Safety: Capacitors can fail under extreme operating conditions or after reaching their lifespan. Hydra motor capacitors are manufactured with a built-in overpressure cut-off. In the event of failure, gas formation and temperature rise within the capacitor lead to an increase in pressure. This causes the casing to extend by up to 9 mm due to the stretching of the fold seam, thereby interrupting the supply line at the predetermined breaking point. The capacitor is safely disconnected from the power supply. Hydra capacitors are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute and meet the requirements of safety class P2 according to EN 60252. Installation: Hydra motor capacitors can be mounted vertically or horizontally. To ensure proper triggering of the overpressure cut-off due to the thermal expansion of the capacitor casing, a minimum distance of approximately 12 mm from the connection to adjacent components must be observed. Construction: Metallized polypropylene, aluminum housing with/without metal pins, environmentally friendly filling material (plant oil).
