The netFiber 9 is a powerful outdoor switch featuring SFP, SFP+, and Gigabit Ethernet. It is equipped with a robust ARM v7 CPU, 256 MB of RAM, 4x 10G SFP+ ports, and an advanced Marvell switch chip capable of handling even the heaviest loads. The Gigabit Ethernet port is not only for management purposes but is directly connected to the switch chip, allowing you to enjoy full Gigabit speed. This port also supports PoE-in, so you are not reliant on a DC socket for power in hard-to-reach areas.

There is a console port, followed by five regular SFP ports and four SFP+ ports for the 10 Gbps network. This means you will eventually need to organize quite a few cables. For this reason, MikroTik has equipped the housing with some handy little features on the underside to help you keep everything neat and tidy.

The sturdy housing provides adequate protection in dusty environments with occasional water splashes. It is perfect for outdoor areas with light coverage, such as an eaves or a simple cabinet. On the back, there is a massive heatsink that serves two purposes: it not only ensures excellent heat dissipation but also shifts the center of gravity to the side for all mounting options, keeping the board stable and secure during installation. Metal hose clamps and screws are included, allowing you to mount the netFiber immediately to a wall or pole.

The netFiber 9 is an excellent tool for anyone working with connections over 100 meters while keeping data loss and pings low. Fiber optics can be a great alternative to copper cables if you are concerned about electromagnetic interference.
