The Entry Line series includes a variety of compact Fast Ethernet switches. The basic devices feature 5 or 8 RJ-45 copper ports. Enhanced switch versions are equipped with additional fiber optic ports. For the 5-port variant, in addition to the 4x 10/100TX ports, there is a fiber optic port available in multimode or singlemode configuration. The 6-port Fast Ethernet switch also has two fiber optic ports, allowing it to be used for cascading. The devices are ready to operate immediately and require no configuration. The ports automatically configure themselves via autonegotiation (10/100Base-TX) and Auto MDI/MDI-X. The power supply connections are designed to be redundant.
