While a conventional signal in a copper cable is subject to electrical interference, optical cables operate flawlessly even under the most challenging conditions. Additionally, optical fibers do not affect electronics. The low attenuation of optical cables also allows for long-distance transmission.

LC Connector
The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, featuring an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable.

SC Connector
SC connectors are standard connectors for fiber optic cabling. They feature an automatic locking mechanism and a twist protection. Their use is recommended for new installations of computer networks utilizing fiber optic technology. The connector is suitable for both singlemode and multimode fibers, allowing for simplex, duplex, and multi-fiber connections.
