The LevelOne WAP-3000 11g Wireless Access Point acts as a bridge between wired Ethernet and wireless 11b/g networks, enabling wireless clients to access both wireless and wired networks.
The WAP-3000 supports AP, AP Client, WDS Bridging, and Repeater wireless operating modes for flexible use in a Local Area Network.
In standard operation, the WAP-3000 can be connected to a LAN via a broadband ADSL router or network switch, providing direct network access for connected wireless clients.
With WDS + AP mode, the WAP-3000 can function as a bridge between two or more networks, merging both networks into one and allowing wireless clients access to both networks.
In Repeater mode, the WAP-3000 extends the coverage of the wireless network.
The WAP-3000 offers WEP 64/128 bit encryption as well as WPA and WPA2 secured connections to protect the wireless network and prevent unauthorized access.
The WAP-3000 is compatible with the IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g standards and provides coverage of up to 50 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors thanks to its modern wireless chipset.
