The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, allowing you to install or replace switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical MX switches. The keyboard has a system switch on the side for the operating system and an additional set of custom keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems.

Thanks to full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap every key on the keyboard. With the open-source VIA firmware, you can define any key, keyboard layout, or backlighting. The south-facing RGB SMD LED lighting is easy to see as it faces the user. The Keychron K Pro Switches come factory-lubed and provide an excellent typing experience, complemented by the translucent ABS keycaps in the OSA profile.
