The VWS 2991 is used as a cascading distribution network amplifier for level enhancement and tilt compensation in multi-switch cascades. It features step-adjustable attenuators (1 dB increments) for both satellite and terrestrial signals (all satellite branches are adjusted separately for each satellite position simultaneously). There is also step-adjustable pre-equalization (2/4/6 dB) in the satellite range (all satellite branches are adjusted separately for each satellite position simultaneously). The power supply for the VWS 2991 and the LNB supply is provided via remote feeding from the multi-switch through the horizontal low satellite branch. Optionally, the VWS 2991 can also be powered through the DC connection with an external power supply (not included). When powered through the DC connection, only the amplifier itself is supplied, and the LNB supply is not provided.
