Product details

Prof. Dr. Karlfried Graf Dürckheim, 1896 - 1988, psychologist, philosopher, psychotherapist and meditation teacher, developed an independent anthropology in which he brought eastern and western mysticism into relationship with each other. Dürckheim's basic formula of the "double origin of man", whose heavenly as well as earthly home demands equal tribute, brings religio, understood as the individual reconnection to one's own innermost divine essence, as ultima ratio into Western psychotherapy and guidance. Dürckheim understands the human being as a spiritual being, called upon and enabled to experience the immanent transcendence and to draw consequences from it. His call to religare, the observance and reconnection to the divine being and the recognition of immanent transcendence, is radical, as it calls on the human being to accept what he has experienced.
