Just Games Ganryu 2: Hakuma Kojiro

Ganryu 2 is the sequel to the game Ganryu, developed by VISCO for the NEOGEO in 1999.

The universe is set in a feudal fantasy Japan, strongly inspired by the story of Takezo Musashi, whose adventures unfold in a series of books, mainly "Musashi."

You'll take on the role of Miyamoto Musashi and travel through a 17th century fantasy Japan, from north to south to the island of Ganryu-jima, where it all began between Musashi and Kojiro.

The story
After his victory over Kojiro, Musashi decided to meditate and try his hand at art in the north of Japan, in the province of Hokkaido.

During one of his meditations, a spirit contacted him: "Miyamoto Musashi, our fight is not over yet, I am waiting for you to end our fight once and for all! All of Japan will pay for your insult! I'm waiting for you, Miyamoto Musashi!"

There was no doubt in Musashi's mind that the voice was that of Sasaki Kojiro. His body was defeated, but his spirit remained, and he still had destructive intentions. Then Miyamoto Musashi realized that he had to cross Japan from north to south and travel to Ganryû-jima Island, where he had first defeated Sasaki Kojiro, in order to fight again and free Kojiro's spirit forever.
