The two women, Brigitta and Monika, have already entered the second half of their lives at over sixty. Despite significant differences in lifestyle and temperament, they have been best friends for years. Brigitta is always active and tries to cheer up Monika, who has become lonely since the death of her husband. Over Prosecco and ginger tea, they face the challenges of aging and support each other. Their companionship is disrupted by the arrival of Monika's son Alex, who unexpectedly returns to the small town with his dachshund after years away and moves back into his childhood room. When Brigitta falls in love with Alex, the friendship between the two women is put to a severe test.
