- Ultra-portable and lightweight
- Auracast function
- Elegant design
- The sound leaves something to be desired
- Battery endurance
- Missing hands-free function
The JBL Go 4 is one of the smallest Bluetooth speakers on the market, packed with functions and very robust. The sound is what you'd expect: flat and bland, but given the dimensions, it's still fine for those who want to listen at a lower volume. If you can spend a little more, you should opt for the Clip 5. It's slightly larger, but offers a much better sound.
If you are looking for a good-sounding Bluetooth speaker in a pocket-sized format, the JBL Go 4 is a guaranteed find. - Sound better than its predecessor
- Robust material
- Water and dust protected (IP67)
- App support with equaliser
- Auracast support
- Low battery life
- Very compact and light
- Good app for settings.
- Not a good sound
- Very short battery life
The Go 4 from JBL is the smallest and cheapest of those tested, and it shows. The sound is tinny, voices are sometimes croaky and there is virtually no trace of bass. The lightest Bluetooth speaker in the test fails above all in terms of battery life: in several runs, it only lasted for 3.5 hours each and thus only for very short trips...
