The SCR series routers are IoT gateways of a special kind. They offer state-of-the-art technology in a compact, flexibly mountable housing, all at a highly attractive price. The SCR series is available in LTE and LAN versions, both optionally as I/O variants. Locally, users can connect both IP-based and serial devices to this smart device. This allows for the modernization of older existing systems into modern IoT environments during retrofitting. With two mounting orientations, an SCR is suitable for both an industrial control cabinet and flatter building distributors. In addition to the INSYS operating system icom OS, it also features the icom SmartBox, an integrated Linux environment where scripts and programs can be executed directly on the router based on so-called containers. Thus, an SCR router can be used not only for secure remote maintenance and control but also for data collection.
