Ilford Multigrade Below Lens Filter Kit

The Ilford Multigrade Below Lens Filter Kit consists of 12 mounted contrast filters, one mounted darkroom light filter, and a filter holder.

It is a fantastic addition to any darkroom. With 12 evenly distributed, speed-adjusted gradations, these filters allow for easy contrast control for all variable contrast papers and enable printing a wide range of negative types.

Multigrade filters are numbered in ½ steps from 00-5, with the lowest filter number corresponding to the softest contrast. They are easy to use, as no complicated calculations are required when switching from one filter to another - the exposure time for filters 00-3½ remains the same, while for filters 4-5, it simply doubles.

Multigrade filters are also available in sets in sizes 8.9 x 8.9 cm (3½ x 3½") and 15.2 x 15.2 cm (6 x 6") and can be used above or below the lens, as well as trimmed to fit enlarging filters if needed.
