The first global all-in-one access platform is an integrated fiber and copper access device. With this GPON-capable device, users can access high-speed internet, voice, and video services such as IPTV and VoD. The MA5683T OLT will simplify network architecture, improve network reliability, and significantly reduce overall operating costs.

Modular Design

The Huawei MA5683T is a modular optical aggregation terminal that combines compactness and functionality to connect up to 12,000 subscribers via GPON technology. High density is achieved by the ability to install 6 service boards, each with 8 to 16 ports. The modular design allows for seamless expansion of chassis capacity by installing new boards or replacing 8-port boards with 16-port boards.

The Huawei MA5683T is a modular optical line terminal (OLT) that can support up to 12,000 subscribers (GPON). The device features a GICF uplink card. The modular optical line terminal (OLT) has 13 slots:

• 6 slots for service boards;
• 2 slots for main control boards;
• 2 slots for GIU upstream boards;
• 2 slots for power boards;
• 1 slot for a common interface board.
