HPE Smart Storage Battery

The HPE Smart Storage Battery is a central lithium-ion battery with low halogen content. It is required to secure the contents of the write cache on the flash memory of the HPE Smart Array Gen10 and Gen9 Performance RAID Controllers (P-Class) in the event of an unplanned server power failure. The battery also serves as a backup power source for HPE NVDIMMs, enabling the transfer of all data stored in DRAM to non-volatile NAND flash. Only one battery is needed per server, as it can support multiple devices. It supports HPE Smart Array P-Class controllers and HPE NVDIMMs and can support up to 24 devices. Low halogen. Lithium-ion.
