The HP Smart Array P830 Controller is a standard-height, half-length SAS RAID controller with 12 Gbit/s and PCIe 3.0, providing enterprise-level storage performance for select HP ProLiant Gen8 rack and tower servers. It features 16 physical SAS/SATA lanes, each supporting 12 Gbit/s or 6 Gbit/s and SAS or SATA. Advanced storage features such as Advanced Data Mirroring, Advanced Data Guarding, and dual domains enhance data protection.

With the HP Smart Array P830, you can connect a total of 16 drives in two separate drive enclosures.
