Extensive, versatile support
HP Proximity Card Readers, which support HP devices and certain products from other vendors, communicate with the host via USB or CF using the MFP 24 protocol. The HP Common USB Proximity Card Reader and the HP Common CF Proximity Card Reader are compatible with many protocols. Additionally, HP offers four additional Proximity Card Readers for specialized support of certain card classes.

HP Common Proximity Card Readers are dual-band card readers that can read 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies simultaneously. Configuring the readers for two different card configurations, including frequency, card type, and data formatting, is very straightforward.
