With the new IP-controlled power sockets, the power consumption of the installation can be effectively reduced: collective shutdown of devices, even in standby mode, along with integrated energy meters contribute to sustainable operation of the infrastructure. Additionally, the operator receives alerts when fault currents occur, enabling preventive maintenance measures before any downtime happens. The PDUs feature 4, 8, or 12 load outputs (IEC C13 or protective contact) on the back, allowing connected devices to be turned off and on in case of a fault. This is also possible through media controls and DCIM solutions. Defined thresholds further ensure that event-based switching operations can be initiated. Two integrated sensor connections for optionally available sensors allow monitoring of ambient temperature, humidity, and air pressure. Critical system states are thus detected early. Thanks to hot-plug capable sensors, commissioning with the Expert Power Control series is completed quickly.
