Pulp, science fiction, fantasy, trash, BDSM, and fetishism are the guiding stars in Steelfinger's universe. Without regard for genre boundaries, he draws from a wide array of elements from various areas of popular culture in his stories, drawings, and photographs, all while maintaining a sympathetic connection to his genre icons as well as the BDSM and fetish scenes, despite the playful wink evident in his work. Three short stories tell exciting and sexy tales of extraordinary situations: "Blind Date" is a "coming-of-age story" that recounts a first—and in this case, very thrilling—encounter with BDSM and fetish. In "The Gift," the heroine is kept chaste against her will and tries to continue her "normal" life. "Mechabionics" is the beginning of a dramatic sci-fi erotic series set in a dystopian world that is no longer like ours. Additionally, the book features over 40 color and black-and-white illustrations by Steelfinger.
