Product details
With the patented G-Lock Ultras from Gitzo, the GM4542 can support an impressive 66 pounds while weighing only 1.5 pounds. This monopod reaches a maximum height of 62.6 inches (2.54 cm), which is sufficient to meet the needs of most shooters, and features a reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 thread to add an optional head when additional height or articulation is required. The GM4542 is the "balanced" monopod within the Gitzo range, suitable for nearly all tasks and equipment. With its four-part design, the monopod collapses to a length of just 22.8 inches, with the smallest leg section measuring 1 inch in diameter for stability and portability. The GM4542, known as the "all-rounder," is an impressive strength achieved through the use of Gitzo's 6X Carbon eXact tubes and patented G-Lock Ultra designs. The professional 6-layer carbon fabric allows the monopod to maintain maximum strength while keeping weight to an absolute minimum. The G-Lock Ultras also contribute to the strength of the tube by providing a rigid connection between the leg sections and protecting the joints from dust, dirt, and moisture.
