The Fujitsu RAID Controller PRAID EP540i, equipped with 4 GB of cache and 16x12 Gbit/s SAS ports, enhances performance for storage-intensive workloads such as databases and sets new standards for speed and data security in internal storage drives. The PRAID EP540i supports up to 16 SAS/SATA drives, up to 4 NVMe PCIe drives, or a combination of SAS/SATA and NVMe drives. NVMe is an interface with lower overhead, reduced latency, and dramatically increased bandwidth and IOPS. The RAID stack is based on Broadcom MegaRAID, offering high data transfer rates, comprehensive fault tolerance features, and user-friendly management options. Additionally, the controller management is seamlessly integrated into the Fujitsu server management concept. All controller functions are supported by the Fujitsu ServerView RAID Manager. The PRAID EP540i is designed for 3, 6, and 12 Gbit/s SAS as well as 3 and 6 Gbit/s SATA drives. Regardless of drive speed, it provides significant performance improvements for both read and write applications.
