The RAID concept (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) refers to several independent hard disks that form a large logical drive when combined. Redundancy information is calculated from several data blocks (except for RAID 0) and saved across the individual hard disks. Your operating system no longer accesses the individual hard disks, but the array. The PRAID CP500i enables connections to combinations of SATA and SAS hard disk drives and SSD solid state drives, allowing for storage configurations that optimize cost, performance, and robust data protection. The CP500i enhances read/write performance thanks to its RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, and 50 implementation. The RAID 5 performance of the CP500i is suitable for entry requirements. Higher performance is provided by PRAID EP520i, EP540i, and EP580i with 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB.
