Auch die sonstige Ausstattung ist gelungen und nur das etwas klobige Gehäuse sorgt für ein unsauberes Handling, wobei die Kamera dennoch gut zu bedienen ist.

Gewicht und Gehäuse-Abmessungen machen die HS50EXR zu einer wuchtigen Bridge-Kamera,. Die Bedienung erinnert an eine DSLR.
