The EX-1316HMV USB 2.0 to Serial RS232 in a metal housing provides 16 serial RS232 high-performance UART 16C550 outputs. It is designed to expand sixteen additional serial outputs in a robust metal case for desktop computers, laptops, or 19" rack systems via the USB 2.0 bus. With easy installation, there is no need to open the computer, and the EX-1316HMV can be installed while the system is running. The included EX-K1542V cable with A to B connector can be attached to the EX-1316HMV using thumb screws, eliminating the need for a screwdriver. This prevents the cable from loosening on its own. It supports wall, DIN rail, and 19" rack mounting. The EX-1316HMV features LED indicators for data transmission. When connected to the +12V power supply, +12V can be configured on pin 9 of the serial connector for POS systems (Power over System).
