The EX-16500E-2 PCI-Express FireWire 1394A (FireWire 400) card expands desktop PCs, workstations, or servers with one internal and three external FireWire 1394A ports. It allows the connection of FireWire devices such as camcorders or professional audio equipment. For example, a FireWire front bay hub can be connected to the internal, motherboard-compatible port. A low-profile bracket is included for installation in slim cases.

FireWire 1394A PCIe card with three external and one internal port. Supports up to 63 devices. PCI Express interface compatible with the 1.1 specification. Enhanced PCI Express error reporting feature, including ECRC support. Supports 12 VDC via 6-pin IEEE 1394 connectors. "Hot swapping" devices can be plugged in and out without turning off the computer. Can also be installed in addition to the FireWire ports on the motherboard. Supports PC and MAC systems. Chipset: Texas Instruments.
