Exodus - Far Horizons

What will become of us? What comes after us? In a distant future, millions of years later, on this planet that is unrecognizable. Continents have shifted, the climate has swung from one extreme to another. Unbearably hot periods were followed by countless millennia of ice ages. Mountains were eroded, new mountain ranges folded into existence. Seas evaporated or formed anew inland. Global catastrophes wiped out a large portion of the creatures on land and in the seas, but subsequent flourishing periods of life explosively brought forth a variety of living beings. On this planet with its turbulent history, humans once lived, now long extinct. Or are they still around, somehow? Will we have vanished without a trace from the stage of evolution? Or will something, traces, still point back to our existence in the distant future, steps in the sands of time, long blown away? And if there are no humans left, which beings will populate the planet in the far future? Our authors have tried to find answers under the following themes: Humanity is something to be overcome. Whoever is born after us... From the superhuman to the end. Robots are just humans too. New life - created in our imagination. Times change... and we change with them (not always for the better). What comes after us: The future continues - even without us. There will once be... tales of the day after tomorrow.
