Properties of Wood from the PLA Plastic Family

Wood is a modified filament type based on PLA that smells and feels like wood. It is easy to print. We recommend using a nozzle size of 0.60 mm or larger to avoid clogs, and the use of brass nozzles. Due to its low shrinkage factor, Wood-PLA does not warp after cooling. Polylactic acid is a biodegradable plastic made from renewable natural resources and is one of the most popular materials for 3D printing.

The filament should not be stored too dry, as it can become very brittle quickly.
