EKWB EK-FC980 GTX Ti Classy KPE Backplate - Nickel

A water cooling system should typically not only provide excellent performance but also allow for individual customization. Therefore, style and function are equally important in corresponding water cooling components. EK Water Blocks has now designed a meaningful extension for its EK-FC980 GTX Ti Classy KPE series coolers that combines both aspects.

This is a backplate for graphics cards of the type EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition with 6144 MB of memory in a custom design. It can only be used in conjunction with a compatible EK Water Blocks cooler and is screwed onto the back of the pixel accelerator. Since this side is usually turned upwards and thus well visible in the case, a visual upgrade here is significantly more effective than on the front of the graphics card.

To perfectly fulfill this task, an EK logo is cut out of the silver nickel-plated aluminum plate, and an inscription is additionally engraved. Besides the optical enhancement, the backplate also offers increased stability. This effectively prevents the PCB from bending due to uneven tightening of the screws when securing the main cooler, thus avoiding permanent stress.

The backplate is not compatible with the original graphics card cooler, is not water-cooled, is not primarily intended as a heatsink, and cannot be used individually. However, it is fully compatible with the appropriate coolers from EK Water Blocks. The required screws are included in the package. These screws are longer than the original screws, as they need to pass through the backplate and the PCB to secure the main cooler.
