The negative impact of blue light on eye health is a topic that deserves more attention. It is the high-energy blue light that can irreversibly damage the retina and the retinal pigment epithelium. Typical LCD monitors have a preset color temperature value of 6500 Kelvin, which is very intense in blue light. The Paper Mode on Eizo monitors automatically increases the red light component while simultaneously reducing the blue light component. This significantly protects your eyes during prolonged work at the monitor and reduces eye fatigue.
