The Dold&Söhne Under-voltage Relay IL907112 3/N#0042021 is used to monitor AC and three-phase networks for under-voltage, asymmetry, or phase failure, and to activate emergency lighting according to DIN VDE 0108. It is also suitable for neutral conductor monitoring in three-phase networks. In three-phase systems with a neutral conductor, not only three-phase, symmetrical loads are typically connected, but also certain loads and control circuits are connected single-phase to the neutral conductor. If there is an interruption of the neutral conductor in such a system, the asymmetrical load on the network can lead to a dangerous imbalance of the voltages with respect to the disconnected neutral conductor. This can cause single-phase connected devices to be destroyed by overvoltages or to become inoperable due to undervoltages, even though no fuse has been triggered. The IL 9071 detects such network conditions and can immediately shut down the system.
