Completely unprepared, the legendary Lightning McQueen is pushed out of the sport he loves by a new generation of incredibly fast race cars. To keep up, he relies on the help of ambitious young racing technician Cruz Ramirez. She has already devised a plan to bring Lightning back to the top. With the late Doc Hudson as her inspiration and some unexpected driving maneuvers, she aims to execute her plan.
