Completely unprepared, the legendary Lightning McQueen is pushed out of the sport he loves by a new generation of incredibly fast race cars. To keep up, he relies on the help of ambitious young race technician Cruz Ramirez. She has already devised a plan to bring Lightning back to the top. Using the late Doc Hudson as a role model and some unexpected driving maneuvers, she aims to implement her strategy.
