The Sabertooth 2x12A Dual Motor Controller Board is a versatile and efficient driver module for wheeled or tracked robots weighing up to 45 kg. It is designed for a continuous current draw of 12A, with peak values of up to 25A per motor.
The Sabertooth 2x12A features overcurrent and overtemperature protection, which automatically puts the module into safety mode when the current exceeds safe levels. The transistors operate at 32 kHz, allowing for smooth and quiet operation. Additionally, the controller can be expanded with a Kangaroo X2 motion controller to enhance motor positioning accuracy and smooth speed. The Kangaroo X2 easily connects with the Sabertooth controller, enabling the use of quadrature encoders or potentiometers.
The Sabertooth Dual 12A regenerative motor controller can be controlled via PWM signals or a serial/TTL interface, compatible with popular single-board computers as well as Atmel and ST microcontrollers.
