Summer is just around the corner, bringing with it sunny and relaxing hours outdoors. Tablets and smartphones always have a stable Wi-Fi connection, allowing music and video streams to run smoothly. That's the theory. In practice, however, it often looks quite different on the balcony and in the garden. The Wi-Fi is very slow, and the garden shed on the other side of the lawn is completely offline. This doesn't have to be the case.

Thanks to the dLAN WiFi Outdoor, you can host your garden party without a hitch. When combined with another devolo dLAN adapter, it uses your electrical wiring as a data cable, turning any outlet into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Tablets, smartphones, and laptops benefit from fast Wi-Fi. And with the mesh functionality, you have Wi-Fi wherever you are. Even the long distance to the garden shed is easily bridged with range+ technology. And if the summer day happens to take a turn for the worse, no problem: the dLAN WiFi Outdoor is waterproof and can withstand any summer rain.

Der nach IP65 wettergeschützte Access-Point "dLAN WiFi Outdoor" (UVP: 170) will die WLAN-Versorgung im Garten verbessern. Die Anbindung an Heimnetz und Internet erfolgt per Powerline über ein fünf Meter langes Stromkabel. Dabei überrascht, dass Devolo sowohl bei WLAN (11n/"WiFi 4", 2,4 GHz) als auch bei Powerline (Home Plug AV2 bis zu 500 Mbit/s) jeweils ältere Technik einsetzt - zu den neuen "Magic(2)"-Adaptern...

Devolos Gerät, der dLAN WiFi Outdoor, ist eine prima Bereicherung für das Netzwerk. Einfach zu installieren und in Betrieb zu nehmen, erweitert der Hotspot den WLAN-Bereich zuverlässig um das eigene Haus herum. Schade, dass nur WLAN nach N-Standard integriert ist – und kein WLAN AC.

Mit dem Devolo dLAN Wifi Outdoor holen Sie sich eine praktische Lösung nach Hause, um Internet per Powerline und WLAN auf Terrasse, den Balkon oder in den Garten zu bringen. Die Einrichtung ist superleicht und das Gerät trotz den Naturgewalten. Die Leistung ist zwar nicht überragend, in den meisten Fällen aber ausreichend. Nur der Preis von rund 170 Euro kann uns nicht überzeugen.
