The DESQ stereo directional microphone is designed for photo and video cameras equipped with a 3.5 mm jack input. This microphone is not compatible with mobile devices. It features a shock-absorbing suspension system to minimize handling noise and can be mounted directly onto the camera's hot shoe. The microphone offers three decibel attenuation settings: 0 dB, 10 dB, and 20 dB, allowing adjustment based on ambient sound levels.

Technical specifications include a frequency response range of 50 Hz to 18 kHz, sensitivity of -41 dB ± 3 dB, and output impedance of 1000 Ω ± 30%. The microphone includes a 3/8-inch threaded mount for tripod installation and is compatible with Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, and Panasonic DSLR cameras, as well as most camcorders. For use with Sony DSLR cameras, an optional shoe adapter is available separately.

The package includes a battery and elastic replacement suspension bands. The microphone is finished in black and measures approximately 18 cm in length with a diameter of 2.5 cm.
